Episode 1: Food system trends and water security
On the occasion of the UN Food Systems Summit, this episode looks into the important interlinkages between water and food. It highlights how recent trends in the global food system impact water security in the future and provides insights on how food and nutrition security may still be achieved. We discuss these issues with Stefan Uhlenbrook, Program Director of the Research Program on Water, Land, and Ecosystems of the Consultative Group on International Agricultural Research, who also shares his take on whether water has received sufficient attention at the recent UN Food Systems Summit.
